Product Of The Year - K320 mk.3
It’s a double-bill! Not only has our K300 been awarded Product Of The Year by Stereopluss, news has just reached us that our K320 has received similar accolades in the floor-stander category. Thank you to Stereopluss for their fantastic support!
We would also like to extend a very personal thank-you to Håvard Holmedal, chief editor of Stereopluss, who has been particularly supportive to Kerr Acoustic since our Norwegian premiere in 2022. We are delighted and humbled that our products are being so well-received!
VårPULS 2023 at Oslo Hifi Centre
We were thrilled to be able to join the fantastic folk at Oslo HiFi Centre for their VårPULS spring festival 2023. What made this event particularly special for us was being able to launch and demonstrate our new K200 model to the public for the first time, and were delighted by the responses it received!
A special thank-you to Geir, Henning, and the rest of the fantastic team at Oslo HiFi Centre for hosting us once again, and to everybody who visited and helped to make the event a huge success.
Thanks also to our Norwegian distributor Multirom for their fantastic ongoing support!
The K200 Is Born
We’re delighted to officially announce the launch of our long-awaited K200 model. This new loudspeaker takes many of the same ingredients that make our reference K100 model so special, and presents them in a format which is far more manageable and practical for a wider range of spaces. Despite it’s more diminutive dimensions, it manages to retain a surprisingly large quantity of the K100’s performance, including it’s impressive frequency response, power handling capabilities, and sense of sonic scale.
Constructed exclusively from 24mm Baltic Birch Plywood, and featuring our unique Kerr Acoustic Transmission Line loading, the K200 also features a 60mm True Ribbon tweeter and 3” low-distortion doped fabric mid dome.
The K200 also features a very special brand new bass driver from Volt Loudspeakers - the 10” Radial. We have been using their 12” version in our K100 for some time now to great effect, and it’s an honour to be able to be the first manufacturer to feature this very special new driver in a commercial product. We are confident you will be just as staggered by its performance as we are!
The K200 will be officially available from 1st May 2023, and a custom stand will be available separately.

K320 scoops up a 'Spesielt Anbefalt' award from Stereo Plus magazine
Håvard Holmedal of Stereo Plus Magazine (Norway) is already well-acquainted with Kerr Acoustic products, having reviewed the K300s earlier this year and subsequently adopted them to use as a reference stand-mount speaker. Following on from the success of the review, he decided to spend some time with the K300’s floor-standing brother. Hear how he got on below:
“The sound image is excellent, the sound of the guitars extremely believable, the exquisite trumpet extremely airy, and the rest of the sound is impressively detailed and refined, but it is the depth and three-dimensionality that really tear you out of reality and into the music.”
“It doesn't add anything to the sound and makes it one of the most versatile and flexible speakers I've had in the living room in a very long time. It does not favour any particular genre of music, other than that it clearly prefers good recordings with spacious soundscapes, good dynamics and great holography. Then life becomes easy, and the music has room to be just as beautiful, wistful, hellishly tough, merciless and silky smooth as it should be. And basically it asks you to ditch everything from hi-fi playlists and just listen to regular music.”
“It's no secret that we have a pair of Kerr Acoustic K300s to use as a reference stand speaker. It does its job in the best way, and gives fairly immediate feedback on changes in the system, whether it's the amplifier or a new streamer/DAC being connected. With the K320, there is even more of a fun factor with a very well-coiffed bass reproduction and a clarity, precision and openness that is incredible, which is unusual even in this price range. But what will be talked about is guaranteed to be the qualities in the mid-bass and the depth of the bass.”
The K320 picks up a 'Specially Recommended' award from Lyd & Bilde
Lasse Svendsen of Lyd & Bilde reviewed the K320 mk.3 for Lyd & Bilde, and commended them with a ‘Specially Recommended’ award.
“The bass on James Blake's ‘Limit To Your Love’ threatened to roll the rug off the floor, and loose objects began to vibrate. A few days later, the stage was set for the first listening session, which confirmed the impression from day one: These speakers play deep bass in a way few other speakers can.”
“ Strings sound beautifully defined, with an exceptionally fast dynamic that creates fantastic contrast in the music. Add to that the ability of the speakers to make the rough strings really sound like full members of the orchestra, and you realise that these are some very rare speakers. I do not remember hearing such a powerful deep bass from such a small speaker.”
“After a demo of the K320 Mk.3, it can be difficult to go back to the speakers you have at home.”
